Campaign and Election for Unifor715-M Treasurer

Hello all,

After holding a nomination process for Unifor 715-M executive roles, two candidates are in the running for the position of Treasurer.

Candidate 1: Shaun Vardon

Candidate 2: Bryan McNab

The position of President went unchallenged and was won by the incumbent, Peter Szperling.

Starting on Wednesday November 21st 2018 the two candidates will be allotted one week to present their platforms and campaign. Using a Wednesday to Wednesday week period will ensure both candidates will be able to reach everyone within the union, while accounting for all individual’s regular days off.

To elect a new Treasurer we will hold a vote which will take place on Wednesday November 28th2018. The ballot box will be open from 10am to Midnight.

Don will be in charge of the ballot box during the day and I will take over the box for the night crew still needing to vote.

The day of the vote you will find balloting slips located outside Dan’s office on the scheduling board, and both Don and I will have ballot slips in our suites.

Members may only cast one vote and for one candidate.

Don and I will count the ballots and send an email indicating the winner on Thursday November 29th2018.

Good luck to both candidates and remember to vote!

If you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask/email either Don or myself.
